Why were the Sisters forced to evacuate our Convent? Learn more about how a terrible mold crisis has left us squeezed into our own guest quarters, and why a total mold remediation has not solved all our problems.
In God’s Providence, we lost our convent to mold in July of 2024—but we had already outgrown it!. Barely a week after our evacuation, a young lady asked to enter our Community. The eight cells in our old convent could no longer accommodate our nine Sisters.
Although the old Saint Philomena’s Convent is remediated and fully livable, we have outgrown it! Our new home will be quite modest, but it will provide the space we need to welcome new Sisters into our Community!
